My name is Mary and I was born in Basel in 1997. Since my childhood, sport has been an integral part of my life – almost every day! At the age of five, I started going to a children’s circus. It was there that I first began to work intensively with my body, exploring its capabilities and building strength. This early, focused training not only gave me physical strength, but also improved my coordination from an early age. It laid the foundation for my further athletic development. My childhood was filled with sports and playful activities. Floor acrobatics, juggling, unicycling, funambulism, football, basketball and even fighting sports were some of my favourite activities that always brought me great joy. One memory that stands out is performing partner aerial acrobatics on the trapeze with a partner in the circus. It was always a special highlight to perform acrobatic skills and experience teamwork at such heights.
I’m passionate about sport, but I’ve also always loved coaching. I really enjoy working with people. It excites me to not only get to know people through my job, but also to understand them on a personal level, building trust and discovering what they really need and where their strengths and weaknesses lie. I am inspired by the ability to gain deeper insights into individual personalities. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be able to follow my passion.
Coach Mary's inspiring story - from depth to strength
Life throws many challenges at us, and my own journey has been marked by difficult moments and profound experiences. Throughout my childhood and adolescence I struggled with depression, eating disorders and self-harming behaviour. Early on, I began to work with professional therapists and coaches to find new ways of living and to regain my zest for life. Today I am proud to say that I live a healthy, conscious life in harmony with myself.
This journey has shaped me deeply and allowed me to grow. Drawing on my experiences, I now navigate life with a positive mindset. I have made a clear decision to focus on the purpose of bringing out the best in each individual. My aim is to inspire you and show you that with the right attitude and tools you can achieve anything. It is important to me that you not only find joy in training, but also experience a sense of ease and develop a deeper awareness of your body through health-promoting practices. I believe in listening to your body and giving it exactly what it needs. Sometimes this means focusing on reducing stress and improving sleep quality before moving on to more intensive training. This way we build a solid foundation for long-term wellbeing without overloading your body.
Since 2017, I have been passionately dedicated to functional training, and I am constantly striving to further my education. While studying exercise and health promotion, I started my own business. Since 2021 I have been guiding people of all ages on their personal journey. It is very important to me to support my clients in a holistic way. I want to motivate them and guide them on their way to success. Whether the goal is to lose weight, build muscle or simply incorporate more exercise into your daily life. The first and most important step is having the courage to try something new. Together we will find the best way to achieve your personal goals, step by step.
This process requires patience and consistency, as no one runs a marathon right after birth. The key is to stay committed, be open to change and celebrate your progress. I will be by your side, supporting you along the way and making sure you feel empowered as you continue to grow.
