I am Coach Mary Carmen, born in Basel in 1997, and my enthusiasm for sport has been with me since childhood. At the age of five, I found my place in the children’s circus – an environment where I was able to discover my body in a playful yet intensive way. The combination of floor acrobatics, juggling and partner aerial acrobatics not only shaped my physical development, but also laid the foundation for my current passion: helping people reach their full potential.
Sport is more than a passion for me – it is my calling. As a fitness trainer, I love working with people, identifying their individual needs and finding ways together that really help them progress. My goal is to inspire you, encourage you and show you that with the right attitude, you can achieve anything.
I am currently completing a comprehensive training programme to become a certified mental coach with a focus on sport, which I am pursuing with great dedication until the end of 2026. I continuously integrate this valuable know-how into my coaching sessions. This means you not only benefit physically, but also strengthen your mental fitness – for sustainable progress, greater ease and a holistically healthier life.
From the depths to the power - the moving story of fitness trainer Mary Carmen
My path has not always been straightforward. In my youth, I struggled with depression and eating disorders – a challenging time from which I emerged stronger thanks to professional support. Today, I live consciously, healthily and with a deep appreciation for physical and mental well-being.
Since 2018, I have been intensively dedicated to functional training. In 2021, I founded my own company in the field of personal training and health promotion. Since 2024, I have been a member of the Swiss Personal Training Association and certified as a Swica-recognised senior personal trainer. In addition, our studio is QualiTop-certified, which means that around 20 health insurance companies cover part of the costs for fitness or personal training.
My aim is to support people of all ages in achieving their goals – whether it’s physical changes or gaining more energy, stability and joie de vivre in everyday life. The first step is always the most important: dare to try something new. Together, we will create a strong foundation for your long-term well-being.

Mary really pays attention to your posture and corrects you to make sure you do the exercise correctly to prevent injuries. She creates diverse and challenging programs that make you feel progress quickly! She is motivating, kind, good humored (even early in the morning) and (bonus) has good music to support the work out. I make sure that you have fun and stay motivated along the way, because that’s the only way to ensure long-term success. Not only will you get fitter, but you’ll also be able to apply your knowledge confidently and independently.
